Open Studio Days, a big gamble.

Adventures in Printmaking, and other art, gratitude, Studio clean out sales / Saturday, August 29th, 2015

This week, I did my first Open Studio Hours.

This might not sound like anything terribly scary or even risky, it is. I have had friends or family in my studio, sure, but opening up to anyone, everyone, to the public. This big step is one I needed to take. It was the first step to declaring “I am an Artist; This is my office, my work place”

How important is that?

I don’t know…

Will people take me seriously now?

Will this change my art?

In one way, I hope so, in others I hope not. I would like the change to be that I create more. I hope that my growth and exploration stays as intense, and insatiable.

Is this going to be a regular event?

Yes I think so… the plan right now to try twice a year, maybe seasonally.
